Starting the Admin service

The Admin service is the service that you connect to when you log on to the server through the Administration Console. It is installed automatically when you install the server.

The Admin service must be running to allow users to access the Administration Console. You must be a root user to start the Admin service. To start the Admin service, see Using the fcsmgr utility.
